In the Tambov region, farmers have sown 95% of the plan with spring crops - this is more than 1.3 million hectares of arable land. This was reported by the Head of the Tambov region Maxim Egorov on his Telegram channel.
As the Head of the region noted, the May frosts made their adjustments to the sowing campaign. In the region, due to unstable weather, crops perished on an area of 109.2 thousand hectares. In addition, crops were employment database damaged on 168.3 thousand hectares. The most severely damaged were seedlings of winter wheat, peas, sugar beets and rapeseed. Farms have already begun reseeding. The work is being carried out taking into account the permissible agrotechnical terms.
"We have more than enough seeds. The region's farmers are 100% provided with mineral fertilizers, fuels and lubricants, and are equipped with machinery and equipment," said the Head of the Tambov Region, Maxim Egorov.
According to information provided by the Minister of Agriculture of the Tambov Region, Alena Sytova, farmers in the region have already resown 73% of the dead plants, and the structure of the main crops will also be maintained.
"I am personally monitoring the situation with agriculture. I am confident that our farmers, thanks to their experience and the use of modern technologies, will do everything to ensure that this year's harvest is, as before, high. We will continue to make a worthy contribution to strengthening the food security of our country," wrote Maxim Egorov, Head of the Tambov Region, on his Telegram channel.
