How to prepare your Facebook page for the holidays?

Post by monira444 »

The holidays are coming, and with them a lot of preparations and excitement! "We'll take a break, yeah," we say to ourselves, but if we are business owners - the break has to be planned. Especially when we're talking about Facebook, because there's just no break there!

To help you, and ourselves, we decided to put together a short list of 6 +1 tips for content, information, and activities on your Facebook page to help you get ready. We promise that if you follow our recommendations, the end result will have an extremely positive effect on your social media image.

Tip 1: Change your cover image

The holidays are a great time to spice up your profile picture linkedin data and cover. Use them to send holiday greetings, promote your Christmas sale, or just add some Christmas cheer. At Proper.media, we'll use your cover as a link to the post you're currently reading, making it more visible and reaching more people who might find it useful.

Tip 2: Inform about opening hours

This year, the holidays in the workweek are December 24, 25, 31, and January 1. However, many businesses plan to work on official holidays due to the nature of their work. Others decide to work only half a day, and still others plan an entire block of holidays because their business allows it. No matter which one you fall into, clearly indicate on your page and warn your users when you are available. It often happens that you get lost and visit a store, only to be disappointed because it is not open and you wasted time getting there. Create a post on your schedule page and you will make it easier not only for your customers, but also for yourself. Publish it once in mid-December and once on the last working day. If you are a business with a physical location, work with end customers, and plan a serious vacation, it is a good idea to pin this post so that it is at the top of the page during the holidays.

For example, we will be out of the office from December 21st to January 4th, but we are available online during all holidays

Tip 3: Prepare some posts in advance

There will be days when you will rest, but as we have already mentioned – social networks do not rest. To do this, simply prepare your posts in advance. Set up interesting information related to the holidays or educational articles that will engage your audience. Remember: it is important not to stop the activity on your page, even if the posts are not fully consistent with the policy you apply the rest of the time!

We at Proper Media have already prepared the posts for our Facebook page and for the client pages. We will be available for comments and messages, but we prefer that the posts are prepared in advance!

Tip 4: Offer a holiday discount

During the holidays (and beyond) we like to feel taken care of and special. If you offer a discount on a service, a discount on a package or a voucher, but in the form of a game, you will be successful. Social networks are a great place to announce the promotion. Also think about something special for your followers on Facebook – in the form of a game, for example.
