The arrival of the so-called “second wave” of Covid-19 was imminent and with it, comments on social media about the long-awaited vaccines, a new quarantine to stop the spread of infections, as well as greater and better security measures became increasingly noticeable. Thanks to our Social Listening tool, we were able to learn about user behavior at a time of maximum uncertainty.

Basic resource
One of the main demands was the creation of vaccines that would allow the immunization of the majority of the population and thus prevent more deaths from the disease and the imminent arrival of the second wave.

Thanks to the efforts of scientists in laboratories around the world, the long-awaited michigan accountants email lists was created in less than a year. This also meant a race between countries to gain access to them.

To date, nearly 15 million citizens have been vaccinated, with the United States being the country with the most people already vaccinated with 4.84 million, followed by China with 4.5 million, and Israel with 1.37 million.

Vaccines for Peru
Recently, the Peruvian government announced the purchase of a first batch of vaccines from the Chinese laboratory Sinopharm. With this, it is expected to have between 14 and 15 million citizens vaccinated in the first quarter of the year.

On social media, the expectation for the acquisition of vaccines was evident in the thousands of daily conversations that were generated on different platforms, mainly Twitter.

What is being said on social media?
From September 2020 to January 2021, using Quantico Trends' social listening , we have recorded more than one million opinions about vaccines on Twitter and after the announcement of the purchase, at least 45 thousand users commented on it.

The sentiment of the opinions has been positive at 35%, with users who were in favor of the vaccine and the procedures related to the purchase.

49% of the conversations correspond to data on vaccines and exchange of opinions on distribution, the first groups to be vaccinated, etc. Finally, 15% generated a negative conversation on the subject, where the origin of the vaccine purchased in this first stage was highlighted.
