From lost student to promising internship: I'll tell you everything!

Post by shukla7789 »

As the latest intern at Stratenet, I would like to share with you my experience, from a lost student less than a year ago to an internship at Stratenet, filled with learning and development opportunities in a company destined to grow. In this article, you will discover: my background, my internship search, STRATENET before my internship, my first internship (outside Stratenet), STRATENET philippines mobile database my internship and beyond.

My journey

I had just completed my first year of a marketing bachelor's degree at IESN after my secondary school diploma in sales technician.

Between my desire for something concrete after my secondary education, and my curiosity for digital technology that the Iesn did not satisfy, I decided to stop my bachelor's year, to work while studying while looking for a training course that suited me.

After my research, I decided to start a digital marketing training course at IFAPME on a work-study basis, 4 days in a company / 2 to 3 evenings per week starting in September 2017.

My internship search

Having chosen my digital marketing training at IFAPME as a work-study program, I'm actively looking for an internship starting in June to secure a place by September. I emphasize "ACTIVE" research, because it's the basis when you're looking for something...

For my research I proceed in this way:

Creating a CV
Creation of personalized cover letters for each company (this is the basis for getting noticed!):
Just as personalized marketing works, employers like to receive a cover letter that is intended for them, and not for everyone else...

Phone :
No response, I pick up my phone and call all the agencies to which I sent my CV and personalized cover letter.

Go to the agency location:
No replies to my resume and cover letter, no answers to my phone call? I'm arriving on site!

Remind :
Once an initial contact was established, it was important not to let this contact die... So I called back a few days after having been at the agency's location.
