For the company, whether it likes it or not, e-commerce is a growth lever that should not be overlooked... In this regard , Belgium is catching up with its neighboring countries: last year, online commerce increased by 15% and attracted 440,000 new customers. On the Internet side, there are more than 7 million Belgians active on the Internet, 85% of whom have visited an online store at least once and 64% have made purchases (Comeos).

The profile of SMEs selling online shows that it's no longer just a few businesses, and the good news is that there's still room to get started...

The advantages of e-commerce are undeniable: ease of access and purchases at any time, absence of borders and a potential international market... However, due to a lack of time, knowledge or clear and precise information, Walloon and Brussels SMEs too often under-exploit this additional revenue potential.

BNP Paribas Fortis therefore had the idea of partnering with Google to offer a training cycle for SMEs looking to jump on the bandwagon. Indeed, succeeding in e-commerce requires some upfront resources and notably involves having traffic and prospects. Google offers plenty of tools to boost online visibility and can also indicate whether the product/service is in demand or not, which allows for a better understanding of demand.

As a Google partner, Stratenet was chosen to deliver the training; with 16 years of experience in the digital marketing scene, the agency brings its expertise to develop 6 central themes:
