How do I send text messages?

You’ll be assigned a company-wide phone number for text messaging and can choose the zip code for your company. You’ll also need to provide information about the types of texts you’ll be sending.

Approval may take a few days, and our support team will be readilyhow to use our telemarketing list available to assist you during this time. You can also check on your enrollment status on the SMS page.

Once your company is enrolled and approved, you’re ready to start sending texts!


You can send a text message to a lead or customer from the timeline of any person, company, or lead page. Click on the Send a text button to start a text thread in the sidebar.

You’ll then click into the text box here and start typing your message. One sent message uses one credit.

To make sure a conversation never slips through the cracks, admins can assign threads to different members of their team. Thread assignees have ownership over a text thread with a recipient and they’ll get notifications about their text threads so they can respond promptly.

The SMS page shows all of your threads in one place and breaks them down by conversation status:

Open: Active conversations
Waiting for your reply: Conversations that need your reply
Snoozed: Open threads that are temporarily paused
Scheduled: Threads scheduled to send as part of your sales automation
Closed: Completed or opted out threads
