No one is escaping the powerful influence of generative AI. Not even advertising giant WPP , which has forged an alliance with technology company Nvidia to launch a new generation platform with generative AI capabilities.

This platform, which is still nameless, will give brands the possibility of creating 2D images and videos as well as 3D simulations for advertising purposes.

At the heart of this initiative is Nvidia Omniverse , a cloud platform that brings together different 3D tools into a single “hub.”

WPP will be able to connect to generative AI tools from partners such as Adobe and Getty Images to provide its clients with more possibilities for creating content from text.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang announced the partnership with WPP on Monday at Computex, a technology conference held annually in Taiwan.

“Global industries, including the digital advertising industry, which is estimated to be worth $700 billion, are racing to benefit from generative AI ,” Huang explains. “With Omniverse Cloud and generative AI tools, WPP is giving brands the opportunity to develop engaging product experiences and content at a scale and level of realism never before imagined,” Huang emphasises.

The advertising industry is enthusiastically jumping on the AI bandwagon
WPP is not the first major advertising holding company to take the plunge into AI . Last week, Publicis took full control of the joint venture Publicis Sapient Al Labs , which it launched in 2020. And in April, Omnicom sealed a deal with Adobe that included access to the software giant’s generative AI tools.

Mark Read, CEO of WPP, already stated last February that AI was “fundamental” to uruguay number screening the business of the company he leads. The platform that the multinational is now launching with Nvidia will soon be launched, although WPP does not provide a specific date in this regard.

Demand for generative AI tools is being driven by brands and agencies , who want to experiment with them to create content faster and more effectively. Tech companies are responding to this strong demand by developing their own models and embedding AI in their products.

AI is also a source of concern. AI experts and even the most cutting-edge companies in the field of activity signed a statement this week warning that uncontrolled development of the latest technology could lead to humanity's extinction . Among the signatories of the statement is Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, who spoke at the conference earlier this month and stressed that AI must be regulated.

However, despite the warnings from Altman and his colleagues, the truth is that companies working in the field of AI do not seem to have any intention of taking their foot off the accelerator when it comes to developing this technology.

WPP’s newly formed partnership benefits from Nvidia’s recent successes. As a leading provider of AI hardware and software, Nvidia has become one of the most valuable technology companies in the world. In fact, just this week Nvidia surpassed Meta and Tesla in terms of market capitalization, with a total valuation of $936 billion.
