Kolsquare's Compliance Score feature, designed to help brands and agencies assess compliance with regulations regarding influencer advertising, is now also available in Spain.

Now more than ever, brands need to know whether influencer profiles are aware of and complying with their transparency obligations by clearly labelling posts that are part of brand collaborations.

Key points about Kolsquare's new Compliance Score feature
Kolsquare Compliance Score allows marketers to assess influencers ' compliance with French influencer marketing laws .
Compliance Score evaluates influencers’ posts from the previous three months and assigns a compliance rating from “Very Good” to “Very Poor.”
The Compliance Score feature applies to KOLs with 5K or more followers on Instagram , with 30% of their audience in France.
What is Kolsquare's Compliance Score and how does it work?
Compliance Score is a Kolsquare feature that evaluates KOLs' Instagram posts and reels over the past three months to determine if they comply with the legislation. A proprietary algorithm analyzes brand mentions and the text of the post to identify if it is a collaboration. Profiles are scored on a five-level scale , from "Very Good" to "Very Bad," based on compliance with the labeling regulations.

Profiles that clearly tag posts with terms specific to the regulations applicable in Spain, along with mentioning the company, receive a high rating. On the other hand, those that use unapproved tags or do not adequately inform their followers about the commercial nature of the post receive a low rating.

Now, this tool is coming to the Spanish market, adapting to the stricter regulations that are also beginning to apply in this territory. These new regulations seek to ensure that both brands and influencers operate with greater transparency and responsibility, forcing all those involved to be accountable for the content that is published. This means that both agencies and content creators must be more attentive to laws and regulations, ensuring that their campaigns are legal and ethical.

What should brands know about the laws applicable to influencers in Spain?
The regulation of influencer activity in Spain has made significant progress with the approval of the Royal Decree by the Council of Ministers, which aims to reinforce some of the provisions established for the first time in the General Law on Audiovisual Communication (LGCA) of 2022. This regulation aims to provide greater guarantees of protection to consumers, offer legal certainty to influencers and curb unfair commercial practices.
