When people arrive at your website, do you want them to take a specific action? Subscribe to your newsletter, share your content, buy a product or service from you… How do you get them to take the specific action you want them to take? The million-dollar question… do you know how to make good Calls to Action?

Encouraging a potential customer to take the desired action is one of the most difficult tasks we have as marketers. You need to focus less on pretty design or copy and more on creating a powerful and compelling call to action (CTA).

And now you might be wondering, how do you do that? I'll tell you below.

How to create a compelling Call to Action
Maybe you have invested a lot of time and effort in your online marketing crypto email database list strategy but you are not seeing results. Do you have traffic but no conversions? It could be that your Calls to Action are not working. Don't worry, in this post I give you 5 tips so you can learn how to make good Calls to Action.

1. Be direct
Stop beating around the bush. Your website represents (or is) your business so you have to be very direct in your approach. Be precise and tell your visitors exactly what you do and what you would like them to do.

The action should be simple, short and direct. Make sure there is no room for guesswork, so your customer doesn’t feel lost and doesn’t know what to do next. Some examples of direct language could be “start now” “sign up” “submit” “download” or “sign up” among many others.

2. Be unique
I'm sure that as a marketing professional, by now you know how to differentiate yourself from your competitors. With your Call to Action you have to do the same, find something that makes your call to action special.

3. Use actionable language in your Call to Action
Realize that some verbs and phrases are more powerful than others. Use action words that compel your visitors to do what you want them to do , such as “Call us today for a free sample.” This call to action is effective because it is actionable, meaning it is giving a clear instruction to the user using the verb “call.”

4. Create a sense of urgency
Another basic rule for creating CTAs. They must create urgency in taking action so that visitors convert. You can do this by conveying a message that they are missing out on a great opportunity if they choose not to take the indicated action or if they choose to do the opposite.

Convince them that time is running out and they might miss out on the opportunity . Take examples from sites like Amazon where they create a sense of urgency with Call to Actions “Buy now to get 50% off”.

A well-tried approach is to display an initial price and clearly mention that the offer is available for a short time only and the price is likely to increase once that time has passed. Using words like “today,” “now,” or “immediately” can do wonders in adding that sense of urgency I was telling you about. Of course, the word “today” is a good word to add to the call to action, but using “now” or “immediately” is even better. These words imply greater urgency and also make it clear that the offer doesn’t have to last forever.

5. Make your Call to Action easy
The transition from a Call to Action to the completion of the task must be seamless. A complicated Call to Action is destined to fail. For example, if you want your potential clients to call you, provide your phone number (logical, right?)

Also, let your prospects know that there is no cost to convert. That is, if you are offering something for free, such as a demo or sample, be sure to mention the words “free” or “gratis” in your call to action.

Similarly, if you want your visitors to subscribe to your newsletter, make sure they don’t take too long to complete the process. There’s a reason why most successful magazines and blogs use calls to action like “sign up in less than 60 seconds.”

It needs to be simple enough for users to easily understand your message, while still compelling enough to convince them to do what you want them to do.
