About personal life, hobbies and own writings

Post by Maksudasm »

As we have written before, Eugene Kaspersky is not a very public person. He was married three times, has five children, and one was even kidnapped once (but everything ended well). But Eugene maintains excellent relations with all his exes and present, and perhaps that is why his personal life is not written about in the "yellow press".

Evgeny Kaspersky himself prefers quite standard hobbies: he loves skiing, mountaineering, kayaking, and is also an ardent fan of Formula 1 racing (he was even an official sponsor of one of the teams for several years).

“For me, a hobby is a job, and work is a hobby…”

And Evgeny considers his main vk database hobby to be traveling, a love for which he developed back in the years when visiting different countries was more of a duty than just a hobby.

Kaspersky has visited many different parts of the world, from Kamchatka to the South Pole, and regularly tells his readers about his trips in his personal blog. He believes that the further from civilization, the better the tourism.

Top 3 Books by Evgeny Kaspersky
"Travel Notes", 2006

"Despite New Zealand and a bunch of other mind-blowing things, Kamchatka is still the most awesome place on earth. On Earth."

An excellent guide for those managers who know how to combine business with pleasure, and in between trips manage to manage the business and approve a marketing plan.

In his Travel Notes, Eugene Kaspersky talks about his work trips and incredible adventures in Kamchatka, the Greek Islands, and the USA.

Very fascinating, easy to explain, with lots of photographs, personal comments and invaluable advice for future explorers - the book will be of interest to every fan of travel and the biography of Evgeny Kaspersky.

"Top 100 Places in the World That You Really Must See", 2012

A large guide-table with valuable comments and remarks from Eugene Kaspersky himself about where to fly, what to do, what to see.

However, we will provide a few excerpts:

"New York - Manhattan. An amazing place. What kind of energy is there if everything is so prominent there!"

"Tokyo. Another world in all dimensions..."

"Altai. Russian Shambhala. Everything there is somehow brighter, more tangible. The water is tastier, the mountains are more contrasting, the sky is bluer, and the grass is greener."

"South Pole. Oh yeah!"

"Space. Well, you get the idea :)"

"By the way, an interesting fact: since 2018, we were the last travelers at the North Pole! Because: in 2019, there were difficulties with renting a plane, 2020-2021 - understandable, 2022 - also understandable."

"Altai - Big Water", 2018

The book "Altai - Big Water" was the result of his journey through the Altai Mountains. The book tells how Kaspersky Lab employees went on a hiking trip through the Altai Mountains, forded rivers and walked through clouds, traveling along the Akkem River Valley.

The book "Altai - Big Water" by Evgeny Kaspersky

As Evgeny himself writes: "Altai is one of the most delightful and magical places on Earth. It is not just beautiful here, it is somehow especially "taking". Is there a special energy in the local rocks, or is there something else unknown to us lying in the depths of the rocks."

"Kaspersky's Principle: The Internet's Bodyguard", V. Dorofeev, T. Kostyleva, 2011

Let's add one book to the list of Kaspersky's books that wasn't written by him. This is a biography dedicated to the famous businessman and founder of Russia's largest antivirus company.
