Mascot humorously focuses on criticism of texts

Post by asikurrahmanshuvo »

The same goes for creative marketing communications. We can't improve if we only get praise. Criticism helps us look more objectively at our own ideas, and therefore can teach us what works and what should be discarded.

Positive feedback is also important. It makes you aware of your own strengths. This is necessary to be able to strategically exploit your strengths as a copywriter. The famous copywriter David mayotte email list Ogilvy expressed the following:

“I am a lousy copywriter, but I am a good editor. So, I go to work editing my own draft”.

If he hadn't had this insight, he might not have become a writer. Perhaps he would have compared himself to other writers and thought it took him too long to come up with a good idea.

In cases where you don't have the opportunity to get any feedback, I would recommend that you put the text aside for a few days to get a more objective perspective. You should do this anyway. It will then be easier to see the text as a reader would see it. It may even lead to completely new ideas.
