What is Google Tag Manager?

Post by bitheerani319 »

Google Tag Manager is a tool that greatly simplifies the management of tags or code fragments (scripts) in order to track and measure any milestone that occurs on our website.
Google launched this tool at the end of 2012 and has made it available to users since then in a completely free manner in an attempt to make the work much easier and faster when carrying out the technical implementation of code that any website needs, with the aim of properly analysing and tracking visits to the website.
Statistics still show a limited use of Tag Manager among most denmark phone number list and website owners and that is why in this post we want to help you understand how it works and encourage its use.

What is Google Tag Manager and why should you care?
Google Tag Manager is a simple and user-friendly tag management system for using third-party services on your website.
Google Tag Manager saves you from having to manually copy different JavaScript codes into your website files - minimizing the risk of errors when having to modify the files.
Let's say you want to use the following services with your Online Store:

Google Analytics to measure visits and the analytics part.
Google Adwords for advertising campaigns.
Facebook Ads to display ads on Facebook.
CrazyEgg to use heatmaps to find out where your users click.
Linkedin Insight to incorporate Linkedin into your marketing strategy.
Without Google Tag Manager, you need to access each service and copy and paste its tag -a piece of JavaScript code- into all the pages of your website, so that these services begin to receive the information you need and you can use them.
With Google Tag Manager, you would only copy a single tag that acts as a container and you could install, configure and delete any of the above services from the Tag Manager control panel, which is much simpler and more user-friendly.
