The social network was blocked due to investigations

Post by Joyzfs444 »

This Wednesday (18), several Brazilian users reported that X , the social network formerly known as Twitter, was back up and running, even after its official suspension in the country.

The platform had been blocked by court order, but, according to reports, some accounts regained partial access to the service this morning.

The legal situation
In a statement, the STF stated that “it is checking the information about access advertising database to X by some users. Apparently it is just an instability in the blocking of some networks”.

The court stressed that the court ruling remains in force. Therefore, the eventual functioning of X for certain users may be due to technical failures or adjustments not authorized by the platform.

Anatel also reported that it is monitoring the situation and is in contact with operators to ensure full compliance with the court order.

The situation has created an environment of uncertainty, where the social network appears to be operating on some devices but not others, and the future of the platform in Brazil remains uncertain.

X 's management has not officially commented on the partial reestablishment of the service, which raises even more doubts about the company's strategy in relation to the Brazilian market.

into the failure to comply with court orders involving the removal of content related to the dissemination of misinformation and hate speech.

The decision, which was imposed by Brazilian judicial and regulatory bodies, required X to strictly comply with requests to remove specific publications, but the company, under the management of Elon Musk, was resistant to following these determinations.

Despite the suspension, reports began to emerge this Wednesday (18) about access to the application by some users.

These reports, initially isolated, gained strength on social media, leading to speculation about a possible reversal of the court decision.

However, to date, both the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) and the Federal Supreme Court (STF) have reinforced that the blocking of the platform remains officially in force.
