In Gmail, filters allow you to set conditions that trigger when an email arrives in your inbox and take action accordingly.
For example, you can set up a filter to forward emails from one address to another or mark them as read automatically.
It is very useful when you are engaged in B2B prospecting.
This is because you will receive and send a lot of emails every day.
Like labels, filters are a way to clean up and organize your inbox for a clearer view.
How do I set up filters?
Click “Settings” and “See all settings”;
Go to the “Filters and blocked addresses” section;
Click “Create new filter”;
Fill in the fields based on the filter you want to create.
Sending automatic responses
Gmail's auto-replies are a nifty tool. They allow users to save and use vp safety email list pre-written messages.
To activate this feature, simply go to “Settings” (the gear icon) and follow the instructions.
This will allow you to quickly respond to any request with just a few clicks.
If you find yourself responding to the same types of requests or follow-ups over and over, try creating templates for those responses.
You should know that Gmail allows you to store these saved responses in your mailbox so that you can respond to repetitive emails without having to always write the same message.
How to do it?
Open a new email box and type the reply you want to save as a template;
Go to the “More options” tab;
Click the “Templates” button;
Save the email as a template and reuse it whenever you need to.
Automatically delete promotional emails
Marketing emails, newsletters, and website autoresponders can be distracting and annoying.
If you want to keep focusing on more important messages, there is a way to get rid of them pretty easily.
How to do it?
Use Gmail filters.
Select the message you received and specify that similar emails from this address should be filtered.
Next, after sorting your emails by sender, choose what to do with them: label, archive, or delete them.
Do this with every incoming marketing email to ensure you don't receive more in the future.
Gmail has had this feature integrated for a couple of years now. However, if you wish, you can access it and configure it with your own parameters.
