(1) Page speed
When talking about SEO, people tend to focus solely on content. Content is a very important factor, however, there is another KPI that you need to address first: page speed.

Page speed, or how quickly your website loads, is a factor that affects user experience and not just from an SEO perspective. If a web page takes too long to load, visitors will simply end the session and continue their search elsewhere. You may have great content, but potential customers won’t even have a chance to read it. Slow loading will ruin their experience.

In addition, slow page loading times affect SEO rankings. If your website does not load properly, Google is very unlikely to rank it as a first-page result.

There are numerous websites to check page speed, but there are also a couple of simple tips you can apply:

Optimize images: Large and heavy images slow down the website considerably. Before using them, make sure to compress them.

Use Content Delivery Network (CDN) – servers located around the world that will help you deliver content from the server closest to the visitors’ location. This has a huge impact on website speed.
